OE Scrap Removal is the collection and safe disposal of OE-related scrap material.

Attention to the safe disposition of OE scrap has increased due to fatal accidents involving scrap metal workers. One such accident occurred at a metal scrap yard in Fontana, California.

Depending upon the needs of the customer, OER will segregate and dispose of scrap in one of two ways. Non-OE related scrap consists of general metallic debris encountered during the course of an OE project. OE related scrap consists of such items as expended brass, metallic components, or fragments from ordnance items that functioned normally.

OE related scrap can be recycled after it is certified as "safe" by OER personnel. This certification process will guarantee that the material is free of explosives and therefore safe for further handling and treatment.

Non-OE scrap may be left in place and disposed of at the client's discretion provide that no other hazardous materials are associated with the scrap.
