Services - UXO Construction Support
Construction Support
is a service provided by qualified UXO personnel during construction
activities at potential OE sites to ensure the safety of construction
personnel from the harmful affects of UXO. Construction support can
occur in one of two ways.
UXO teams conduct
a subsurface UXO clearance for the known construction footprint. This
approach is preferable when the probability of encountering OE is moderate
or high.
A
two-person UXO Team would standby during construction activities in
the event a suspected UXO is encountered. This approach is preferable
when the probability of encountering OE is low.
The level of construction
support required will vary with the level of activities occurring on
a site; multiple construction crews will require multiple UXO construction
support. A UXO Construction Support Team consists of at least two personnel:
a UXO Supervisor and a UXO Specialist.
OER has the resources
(personnel and equipment) to provide the necessary UXO Construction
Support appropriate to the requirements of the site activities.
